UCIL has invited applications for 02 contractual posts of Hindi Translator cum Hindi Typist.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification (as on 21.02.2026)
- Bachelor’s degree in Hindi with English as elective subject at degree level
OR - Bachelor’s degree in English with Hindi as elective subject from a recognised university.
Desirable:
- Certificate or Diploma in Translation.
- Knowledge of regional (local) language – Jharkhand/Andhra Pradesh.
Experience (as on 21.02.2026)
- Minimum 03 years’ experience of translation work in an organisation
OR - 03 years’ experience of terminological work in an institution or independent translation work of equivalent nature.
- Must be able to work fluently on Computer and MS Office.
Age Limit
- Upper Age Limit as on 21.02.2026:
- EWS: 35 years
- SC: 40 years
- Age relaxation to various categories as per Government directives where applicable.
Selection Process
- Depending upon response to the advertisement, candidates will be called for Written Test/Trade Test/Skill Test, as applicable.
- Decision of UCIL regarding mode of selection and shortlisting will be final.
- Mere fulfilment of eligibility criteria does not confer any right to be called for test/interview.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test and/or interview.
- Verification of original certificates related to age, qualification, work experience and other documents will be done at the time of test/interview.
- UCIL reserves the right to cancel/restrict/enlarge/modify the recruitment process without assigning any reason.
- No TA will be paid to candidates called for Written Test/Skill Test/Interview.
Application Fee

Salary/Stipend
- Consolidated pay of Rs. 46,697/- per month.
- In addition, selected candidates are eligible for:
- Subsidised quarter (if available).

Instructions
- Candidature at all stages is purely provisional, subject to fulfilling eligibility criteria and conditions of the advertisement.

- Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
- Any legal proceedings regarding recruitment shall be instituted only in Ranchi Courts/Forums/Tribunals, which will have sole jurisdiction.
- Records of candidates not selected will not be preserved beyond 01 year from interview date or next advertisement date, whichever is earlier.
- Requests for change of mailing address/email ID/category/post or other declared information will not be entertained.
- In case of any ambiguity between Hindi and English versions, the English version shall be final.
- Since the assignment is purely contractual, selected candidates must execute a deed of indemnity on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 20/- undertaking not to claim permanent nature job in the company.
