Eligibility Criteria
- Research Assistant Essential Qualification: Postgraduate in Sociology with minimum 55%, PhD/MPhil/NET.
- Field Investigators Essential Qualification: Postgraduate in Sociology with minimum 55%.
- Desirable: Specialisation in kinship and family studies; sociology of health and illness; public health; addiction studies; sociology of care.
- Additional Desirable Skills: Proficient in Hindi and English; knowledge of MS Office, SPSS, STATA, NVivo/MAXQDA desirable; prior field/research/ethnographic study experience in the related area will be given preference.
Salary / Stipend
- Research Assistant: Rs. 37,000/- per month.
- Field Investigators: Rs. 20,000/- per month.

- The project is an ICSSR-funded research project under the scheme “Family and Family Systems in India” (2025-26), titled “Healing Together: Advocating a Family-Centered Approach to Alcohol Addiction Recovery”.
- The project is carried out at the Department of Sociology, Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi.
- Tenure of Post: Research Assistant – 18–20 months; Field Investigators – 6 months each.
- Accommodation: Not applicable.
