Eligibility Criteria

• Essential Qualification: PhD in (Chemistry/ Environmental Science) or ME / M.Tech. (Environmental / Chemical Engg) from a recognized university AND Seven years experience in R&D in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services
• Desirable Qualifications: 1. Publications in the field of POPs monitoring 2. Analytical method development and validation of POPs. 3. Experience in operating GC-MS and tandem mass analyzers. 4. Experience in ultra-trace laboratory work, good communication skills
• Experience: Seven years experience in R&D in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services (Experience will be counted from the date after acquiring minimum educational qualification. Dissertation/Thesis work done during academic period will not be counted as experience. Time spent in acquiring higher qualification will not be counted as an experience over essential qualification.)

Salary/ Stipend

• Monthly Emoluments: ₹78,000 + HRA
• Increment of 5 % for every 2 years of experience in the same project.

• Upper Age Limit: 45 years

• Selection will be done on the basis of Walk-in-Interview at CSIR-NEERI, Nagpur.

General Information/ Instructions

• The above positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the aforementioned projects. The engagement in these projects will not confer any right implicit or explicit on the candidate for considering regularization against any CSIR/CSIR – NEERI post(s).
• Under no circumstances the tenure of project staff who have served CSIR-NEERI or any other laboratories/Institutes of CSIR under contract R&D projects would be allowed to exceed Six or Seven years as per clause no. 1.6/1.7 of CSIR OM No. 5-1(342)/2017-PD Dated 02.09.2024 as amended from time to time.
• Upper age limit shall be reckoned as on the last date of receipt of applications.
• Only those candidates who have acquired the essential qualification & result has been declared (should have at least provisional certificate) are eligible to apply.
• Result awaited / Final semester appeared or Ph. D submitted candidates are not eligible.
• Experience, where required, will be counted from the date after acquiring minimum educational qualification. Dissertation/ Thesis work done during academic period will not be counted as experience.
• Mere fulfilling of minimum qualification does not confer any right in a candidate for being called for interview.
• The selected candidates are expected to join within time frame mentioned in the offer letter.
• Each selected candidate shall sign an undertaking for maintaining confidentiality of project findings and/or any associated intellectual property information.
• The engagement of project staff may be terminated at any time without assigning any reasons, by giving a one-month notice.
• The project staff shall have to make their own arrangement for accommodation during their tenure in the project. However, HRA shall be admissible as per applicable rules.
• No TA will be paid to the candidates for appearing in the interview in case of offline interviews.
• CSIR guidelines for engagement of project personnel, as made applicable vide CSIR OM No. 5-1(342)/2017- PD dated 02.09.2024/ 18.10.2024 and amended from time to time shall apply.
