Position 1: Chair Professor
Pay and Emoluments
- Academic Level-14 as per 7th Central Pay Commission, Cell 1 (Rs. 1,44,200 – 2,18,200). [web:2]

Eligibility and Qualifications
Detailed minimum qualifications are as per UGC Regulations, 2018 and Amendment 2021 and are given in the official notification
For Chair Professor
- Ph.D. in concerned / allied / relevant discipline with eminent scholarly contribution and high quality publications (minimum 10 in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals) and research score of 120 as per UGC Appendix II, Table 2.
- Minimum 10 years of teaching experience as Assistant / Associate Professor / Professor and/or equivalent research experience with successful guidance of doctoral candidates; OR outstanding professional with Ph.D. and 10 years’ relevant experience with significant contribution.
- Specialization in Dr. Ambedkar’s Thought & Philosophy / Education / Social Justice / Inclusion / Harmony is desirable.
For Assistant Professor
- Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in relevant / allied subject from a recognized university, or equivalent from an accredited foreign university.
- NET/SET/SLET qualification or Ph.D. as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016 (with prescribed conditions for exemption, including Ph.D. prior to 11 July 2009, publications, viva, etc.).
- Ph.D. from top 500 world-ranked foreign university (QS/THE/ARWU) may also be considered as per UGC norms.
Relaxation of 5% marks at Master’s level is applicable for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/PwBD categories as per UGC norms.

- Open the recruitment portal: https://curec.samarth.ac.in.
- Register as a new user on the portal, then log in with your credentials.
- Fill in the online application form carefully and complete all mandatory fields.
- Upload required documents including photograph (JPEG, up to 50 KB) and signature (up to 50 KB).
- Pay the application fee online through payment gateway via Internet Banking / Debit / Credit Card, if applicable.
- Submit the online application on or before 20 February 2026; no changes are allowed after final submission.
- After successful submission, download the PDF of the application form, sign it, and send the hard copy with all supporting documents and fee details to the University, if required by the notification.
Application Fees
- UR / OBC / EWS: Rs. 1000 (non-refundable).
- SC / ST / PwD: Rs. 500 (non-refundable).
- Women candidates: Exempted from payment of application fees.
- Fees to be paid online only through payment gateway.
Important: Incomplete applications or applications without required documents / fee will be summarily rejected.
Selection Process
- Applications will be scrutinized by Application Screening-cum-Scrutiny Committee.
- Mere eligibility does not guarantee call for interview; the University may apply more stringent criteria or conduct written test for shortlisting.
- Final selection will be based on merit, academic credentials, experience, publications, and performance in the interview (and written test, if conducted).
- Selection procedure will follow UGC Regulations 2018 and Amendment 2021 for appointment of teachers and academic staff.
