- Electricity Ombudsman – Legal Affairs: District Judge level experience with minimum 2 years as Presiding Officer at District Judge level OR Advocate with 7 years practice
- Electricity Ombudsman – Industry/Engineering/Finance: Superintending Engineer level or CFO/Executive Director/Director with minimum 2 years working in PSU/Utility/Regulatory Commission
- Electricity Ombudsman – Administrative/Management/Defence Services: Additional Secretary/Joint Secretary/Brigadier equivalent with minimum 2 years at specified government/defence level
- Electricity Ombudsman – Consumer Affairs: Presiding Officer in Consumer Forum with minimum 2 years experience
