Eligibility Criteria

• Young Professional 2 (Post 1):

  • Essential Qualification: First class Master’s degree with specialization in Environmental Sciences/ Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry/ Ag Chemistry (with thesis work)
  • Desirable: Experience in sampling and analysis of soil and air samples, handling of instruments like GC, GC-MS, spectrophotometer; good scientific writing skills and working with MS Excel

• Young Professional 2 (Post 2):

  • Essential Qualification: First class Master’s degree / MTech with specialization in Environmental Sciences/ Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry/ Ag Chemistry/ Remote Sensing (with thesis work)
  • Desirable: Experience in sampling and analysis of soil and air samples, handling of instruments like GC, spectrophotometer and working with MS Excel; experience in satellite image analysis, GEE and python for image processing

• Project Assistant:

  • Essential: B.Sc pass with experience of working in agricultural fields, data entry in MS Excel
  • Desirable: Experience in soil and GHG sampling, soil sample processing, GHG data entry

Salary/ Stipend

• Young Professional 2: Rs. 42,000/- fixed per month
• Project Assistant: Rs. 25,000/- fixed per month

Age Limit

• Maximum age for YP-2 is 35 years (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC) on the last date of application.

General Information / Instructions

• The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis till March 2027, and may be extended up to the termination of the project on satisfactory performance.
• The selected candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project.
• Only the candidates having essential qualifications and necessary experience would be shortlisted for the interview.
• Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form directly or indirectly shall lead to disqualification or termination.
• Candidates must declare if any near or distant relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI.
