Eligibility Criteria

• Chemical Engineering: B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering with M.E./M.Tech and Ph.D. (Candidates with Direct Ph.D. after B.Tech are also eligible). First class at Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree level.
• Humanities, Social Sciences & Management: Master’s degree in Management with Ph.D. First class at Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree level.

Salary / Stipend

• Fixed remuneration of Rs. 65,000/- per month shall be paid for active duty on this assignment.

Walk-In Procedure

Candidates who wish to attend the walk-in interview for NIT Srinagar Temporary Faculty Recruitment 2026 should follow the steps below.

• Read the official notification carefully before attending the interview.
• Walk-in Interview will be conducted on 24 February 2026 at 10:00 AM at the respective departments:

  • Chemical Engineering → Department of Chemical Engineering
  • Management → Department of HSS&M

• Candidates are encouraged to send their applications/bio-data in the prescribed form along with scanned copies of all relevant certificates/testimonials to the respective email IDs in advance.
• Candidates must report at the venue on time and produce all original documents along with one set of self-attested photocopies (grade cards, degree certificates, experience certificates, category certificates, etc.).
• Carry extra passport-size photographs if required.
• No TA/DA will be provided.
• The engagement is purely temporary for 11 months or until regular faculty joins, whichever is earlier.
